Do you have a ton of stuff to get rid of, but not enough room for a garage sale? With a digital camera and Internet access, you can host an online garage sale! Make some extra money and clear your clutter. Your trash may be someone else's treasure.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Digital Camera
  • Internet Access
  • Stuff you no longer want!

Step1
Gather together all the things you don't want anymore, including DVD's you no longer want, clothes, shoes, and accessories. Also gather bigger items, like furniture. You'll want to sell these in at least two different locations.
Step2
Take pictures of each item. Try to take photograph in good lighting--selling something online is a little bit like online dating in that way; people are basing their decision at this point based solely on appearances! If you're not a great photographer, look at some online tutorials before snapping away.
Step3
If you don't already have one, create an account on eBay for items such as clothes, shoes, accessories, and movies. List the items for a small fee, and you'll likely see a greater return.
Step4
Sell larger items on Craigslist, which will allow you to create free listings. If you don't live in a larger city, locate the nearest large city and list there for a greater response to your ad. People are generally willing to drive a few miles to get a good deal.
Step5
Get ready for lots of emails in response to your ads! The time, though, will be worth it. Many things sell faster on these sites than they would if you spent a summer's day sitting on a lawn chair in your front yard.
