How to Vote for the NBA All-Star Game

Every Year the National Basketball Association holds an All-Star game where select players compete for their respective conferences: East versus West. While coaches make some selections, the starting five for each team is decided by a fan vote. Read on to learn more.

1. There are three basic ways to vote for your favorite players, or others that may be worthy, to be selected to the All-Star game: On-line, at a basketball game or with a mail-in ballot.
2. The on-line method is the easiest and let's you vote multiple times in seconds. Simply log into the official Web site of the NBA, NBA.com. Select the link for All-Star Ballot. This generally becomes available after the New Year.
3. Another easy way to vote is at an actual NBA game. Tickets generally are costly, but this is often a good thing to do while waiting in line for soda during half-time. Teams generally place ballots around the arena, and by the exits. You can vote there and leave your ballots at signified drop-boxes, or mail them back into the league.
4. A third, and decidedly more old-fashioned route is the mail-in ballot. These are made available during the first half of the season at a variety of locations around most NBA cities and nearby suburbs at malls, sporting goods stores, restaurants and bars. Your favorite team will advertise the locations where ballots have been made available and all you need to do is pick one up, fill it out, and mail it into the league office.
