How to make Gullah/Geechee Baked Ham

Make a Holiday Ham the Gullah/Geechee way.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• 20-25 lb Ham/Picnic
• Can of Coca Cola

1. Wash the Ham/Picnic thoroughly. Cut away excess fat.

2. Place Ham/Picnic in large, deep, boiling pot. Add approximately half a gallon to a gallon of water.

3. Boil Ham/Picnic for half an hour. Remove from large, deep, boiling pot. Place in roaster. Cook at 350- 375 degrees for 2 hours. Baste with own juices and Coca Cola; alternating every twenty minutes to half and hour. Serves 6-8.

Tips & Warnings

• Save the bone from this dish as it makes an excellent flavoring ingredient for vegetables, especially Collard Greens.
