How to Score The Best Deals Online for Holiday Shopping

  1. Step 1

Start sizing up gift options immediately from the websites of retailers.

  2. Step 2

The best deals are provided to the subscribers of the retailer's email newsletter. Sign-up for as many as possible because you might not know where your best deal will come from.

  3. Step 3

The Internet's most hidden treasure is coupon codes. Retailers offer various options including a percentage off the final total, free shipping, and free accessories to your purchase.

  4. Step 4

Not everyone is organized to compile a gift list and read every promotional email sent to you. The key is to prepare for the sales offered on the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday). You must sift through the advance information and plan where and when you will shop online for your discount purchases.

  5. Step 5

If you fail on Black Friday to capture your deal, do not fret because you have Cyber Monday to prevail. Retailers offer additional savings during the Monday following the Thanksgiving weekend.

  6. Step 6

The biggest boon for holiday online shoppers is free shipping but it does come with a catch. Most retailers offer free shipping as an enticement to shop early but it is crucial to place an order by the industry benchmark date of December 12th so you will receive your purchase on time.

  7. Step 7

Another hidden treasure on the Internet is buying refurbished items. Retailers offer products in new or like new condition. The discounts are deep as retailers want you to take the merchandise off their hands.

on 12/5/2007 Yes, you are correct that coupon codes are in newsletters sent to your email address. Also, you receive them in the mail from companies that you have purchase product from during the past year to promote their website. Good luck in your shopping endeavors.
