Try my Swiss Beans this holiday season. You will win the hearts of the most critical in-laws and make them beg for more! This dish is fast and easy and tastes GREAT even if you have to reheat it! Enjoy!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Tablespoons real butter
  • 1 Tablespoon white flour
  • 1 Tablespoon finely chopped onions
  • 1 can French-style green beans
  • 1 cup swiss cheese, grated
  • 1 cup real sour cream
  • ¼ cup Kellogg's corn flakes, finely crumbled
  • 9" x 9" baking pan
  1. Step 1

Melt butter in a large sauce pan on medium heat.

  2. Step 2

Once butter is melted, stir in flour and onions.

  3. Step 3

    Remove from heat.

  4. Step 4

Drain green beans and then stir them into the butter/flour/onion mixture. Add swiss cheese and sour cream and mix well with a wooden spoon.

  5. Step 5

Transfer ingredients to 9” x 9” baking pan.

  6. Step 6

Sprinkle crumbled Kellogg's corn flakes on top and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

  7. Step 7

Allow to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use butter substitute, but it won't taste quite as good.
  • For a lower calorie dish, use light sour cream (Tillamook Light Sour Cream is my favorite)
