How to Set Up Your Checking Account on TD Ameritrade

To transfer your funds from TD Ameritrade you need to follow these simple instructions to set up your personal information on your TD Ameritrade account.

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with internet access
  • TD Ameritrade account
  1. Step 1

    From the TD Ameritrade homepage, navigate with your mouse the userID/account number window and enter your userID.

  2. Step 2

    Tab down to the password window and enter your password for your account. Press Enter.

  3. Step 3

    Towards the top of the page is a green bar with white-lettered tabs running from left to right. Click on the "Portfolio & Accounts" tab.

  4. Step 4

    A white drop down menu with green letters will appear. Count over 6 tabs to the right and click the deposit/withdraw tab.

  5. Step 5

    Click the "Bank Setup" tab at the far right of the page and choose "Electronic (ACH)" in the "Add new setup window.

  6. Step 6

    Fill out your banking information in the windows provided and press the submit button.

Tips & Warnings
  • Your bank's routing number can be found at the bottom of your checks or on your monthly bank statement.
