How to Study Dinosaurs in Your Classroom

Kids love Dinosaurs. I have been teaching a Dinosaur thematic unit in my classroom since 1996. The kids absolutely love this unit. Please refer to my website (listed below) to view the entire unit.

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• dinosaur games and activities

1. Have the kids cut out dinosaur bones and construct their own dinosaurs. They turn out really cute!
2. Read dinosaur books in class. There are countless children's books about dinosaurs.
3. Play Dinosaur Bingo with the kids. This magnetic bingo game can be purchased on the internet.
4. Teach the kids greater than/less than using "the dinosaur's mouth". Tell the kids to pretend they are hungry dinosaurs and the dinosaur's mouth should always be eating the larger number.
5. Play the Dinosaur Memory game with the kids. This is a great pre-math activity.
6. Create a dinosaur mural with the kids.
