Step1
To begin, set the difficulty to "Hard" or "Chaos", or if you are playing on Samurai Warriors:Xtreme Legends and have purchased the special bonus available from the options menu that allows you to obtain 5th weapons on Normal difficulty, you may set it to Normal instead.

Step2
Begin Story Mode or Free Mode. Play as Yoshimoto Imagawa, and play his Kemari in the Capital stage, which is the final stage on the upper branch of Yoshimoto's tale.
Step3
Equip strong items, especially a good Power Bracer since you'll want to be able to eliminate officers quickly. You should also equip a good pair of Tengu Sandals or a powerful saddle so you can move about easily. The Battle Drum is another good choice, since all Imagawa officers must survive (including sub-generals).
How-to's for getting the Battle Drum, Arabian Saddle and Matsukaze Saddle are here:

Step4
Begin the stage. Ignore Shingen Takeda's advice, and head for Honnouji's south gate to engage "the strong Ranmaru".
Step5
Defeat Ranmaru Mori and enter Honnouji from the south. Head for the main hall by defeating Katsuie Shibata to open the gate, and wait for the door to the main hall to open up for you.
Step6
Once inside the main hall, the door's will shut you in. Defeat Noh to escape, then exit out the north door and leave Honnouji through the west gate to pursue Nobunaga Oda.
Step7
Track Nobunaga's officer Nobutada Oda on the map when you exit Honnouji and defeat him. This is optional, but recommended, so he won't cause trouble for your officer in the area. Don't worry about rushing to beat Nobunaga, since he only fights the Takeda at this point.
Step8
Follow Nobunaga and defeat him once you catch up with him. Hang around the area and get near Kunoichi and/or Yukimura Sanada.
Step9
Pause the game and check to make sure Yoshimoto and the three other Imagawa generals (the ones listed under Yoshimoto) are all alive, and that each still has a sub-general left. If they are, save the game. If not, reset the stage.
Step10
Shingen will now betray you, and the Takeda will attack. Defeat Kunoichi and Yukimura Sanada quickly, then prepare to assist your generals.
If at any time an Imagawa officer dies (even a sub-general), you'll have to restart from where you saved.
Step11
Some things to keep in mind:
Enemy movements can be erratic, so try and concentrate on helping out your officers rather than on defeating enemies.
Note also that Nobushige Takeda and Masatane Hara each has officers to defeat; make sure you defeat their officers before them.
Finally, realize that your officers in the northwest will usually have a tougher time than any hanging out south of Honnouji.
Step12
Chase down Nobushige Takeda's officer, Yoshinobu Takeda, and defeat him. Clear out any strongholds or officers in the area. Yoshinobu will usually hang out near the south entrance to Honnouji.
Do the same for Masatane Hara's officer, Kansuke Yamamoto.
Step13
Assist any officers of yours who are struggling, defeating all Takeda generals you encounter along the ways. Try to clear out the area just south of Honnouji, and then you should be able to leave that area and head northwest to defeat the Takeda officers there. However, if your officers are dying too easily, you may try heading to the northwest first and then returning to Honnouji's front entrance.
Note that when I say to clear out Honnouji's south entrance, you shouldn't need to chase after Masakage Yamagata, as he should be occupied with your stronghold near him.
Step14
At this point, any officers of yours who have been doing well may attack Shingen directly. If all Takeda officers near your men have been defeated, clear the rest off the map.
Step15
If all Imagawa generals AND sub-generals are still alive, the supply team will appear from the southwest corner stronghold and try to escape directly north. Intercept them, defeat the captain, and claim your weapon.
Step16
You can now stop worrying about your officers. Approach Shingen Takeda and defeat him to end the stage. You now own the Velvet Kemari!
