Freshen a Cat's Breath
Freshen a Cat's Breath

If your cat has smelly breath here are a couple of things you can try...

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pet toothbrush and paste
  • Pet store
  • Healthy breath freshener toys and treats
  1. Step 1

Avoid foods such as milk as they can cause upset tummys and bad breath and be sure to include dry foods in your cats diet as it tends to keep gums and teeth healthy

  2. Step 2

Dental hygiene can be a large factor in how smelly your cats breath is.
There are a range of products available to help with this. You can get a tartar scraper, which doesn't sound like fun but can be invaluable in keeping their mouth healthy.

  3. Step 3

Brushing your pets teeth should also help considerably. Even if just once a week. It will clear away any food debris left over which both causes plaque and can rot in their mouths. You can either use a child size brush and baking soda toothpaste or you can buy toothbrush and paste especially for pets.

  4. Step 4

You can also purchase dental chews and dental treats from most pet stores, I've included some online links below

  5. Step 5

If you want a quick fix, it is possible to give your cat minty drops either human ones or again you can buy some specially pets.
