This crazy pizza was invented in Chicago when a pizzeria needed something different to draw a crowd.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 lb Pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 button mushrooms
  • Three or four slices of onion
  • Meat if desired
  • 2 medium sized bowls that are oven safe

Step1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease the inside of two medium sized oven-safe bowls. Cut the dough into two equal portions.
Step2
Layer in this order on the bottom of each bowl: mozzarella cheese, sliced mushrooms, sliced onion, meat(optional) and tomato sauce.
Step3
Gently stretch dough over each bowl and down the side of each bowl. Tuck the edges under until the dough stays in place. Place in the oven, dough side up for 10 - 12 minutes.
Step4
To serve, let cool for five minutes on counter, with dough side up. Then with an oven mitt on, turn over the bowl and gently lift the bowl off the dough. Dough will create a bowl for the other ingredients.
