Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • LimeWire Installation
  1. Step 1

Double click the LimeWire Icon to open the main window.

  2. Step 2

LimeWire opens with a short how to but doesn't say how to utilize all its features.

  3. Step 3

You may get confused when you search for something and you get far more instances of your favorite song then you imagined. Some of these may be viruses, a good rule of thumb is a song is around 3,000 KB while the average virus is around 600 KB; so you may see what looks like a good song may turn out to be a virus.

  4. Step 4

Put a song title in the search box, then hit the search button.

  5. Step 5

0nce you have a list of choices, check the size of the files and disregard ones that are too small. Remember a KB is a thousand Bytes, and MB is a million Bytes. After you find a song file, double clicking it will begin the download process.
