Step 1
Open LimeWire main window. There may be a set of instructions; but there are some steps which will make your music search faster and more efficient.

On the left is the search dialog. Click on the Audio button.

The search parameters change to a more refined search in the Audio area. Fill out as much or as little as you want. There are no right or wrong way to fill in the search.

Once you have a search, you will see the results in the right pane as a long list. Make sure you chose which format you want. MP3 is the most popular.

To download music double click a title. At the bottom of the pane a download progress window will appear. When the file is finished downloading it is saved in the Shared folder in the My Documents folder of the computer.
