How to Live and Let Go

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • Open mind
  • Willingness to change your beliefs and thoughts

Step1
Are you tired of being angry because your dad left you when you were 5? Are you tired of being angry because you were stood up? Are you tired of being angry because you were bullied as a child?
Step2
I'm here to tell you to GET OVER IT. Only you give people power over you. Only you are giving these people the power to still torment and upset you. Only you are giving these memories any power. Do you think the other person even remembers you or is giving you the time of day? Probably not. You need to let go.
Step3
A lot of the stress in the world comes from people holding onto negativity--people hanging onto useless memories or feelings, people tearing themselves apart on the inside. If more people knew how to let go, we wouldn't have near the amount of stress-related problems.
Step4
A part of letting go is feeling the love and just letting go. You need to be able to allow those memories and feelings to go away. You need to release them and the power they have over you. A big way of doing that is forgiving, saying you're sorry, saying you love them, and thanking them. If you can feel nothing but love, you have let go.
Step5
We are supposed to live in love with our neighbors, our sisters, brothers, friends and family. We have drifted from this course and often live in anger and frustration. We need to go back to our roots and feel the love, and we'll be okay.
