Tired of living a debt-free life? Feeling left out when people talk about how much they owe on student loans? Learn how you can amass as much debt in student loans as possible, more than you could ever possibly pay off.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Choose a private college or university. They cost more than public colleges or universities.
Step2
Go to school out of state if at all possible.
Step3
Take out as many student loans as you can each year you are in school.
Step4
Choose a major that doesn't translate easily into a high-paying job. For example, stay away from business, but art history or drama would be perfect.
Step5
Go to graduate school, preferably into a PhD program if you can get into one. This will take years to complete. Don't take any time off between college and graduate school, because that could give you time to earn more money to help pay for school. You may want to steer clear of law or medical school since graduates from these programs have good earning potential. For the same reason, avoid an MBA program.
Step6
If you must choose a program with good earning potential, go into a branch of that field that doesn't pay as well. But be careful! Some fields, such as education, have loan forgiveness programs. In that case, you need to choose a specialty for which loan forgiveness is not available.
