Getting new snowboard pants is great. Here are some tips on how to find the perfect pair for you and your riding conditions.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
686 snowboard pants are super warm, dry, and very comfortable Waterproofing & Breath-ability: Snowboard pants come with two different ratings, the waterproofing and breath-ability. They are very important to finding the perfect pair for you and your riding conditions. Ask yourself if your going to be riding in a warm and dry climate or a cold and wet one. The higher the number of waterproofing & breath-ability(represented by mm & gm) the better they are at doing their job. If you are riding in a really wet climate like the Northwest you should buy snowboard pants with a waterproofing and breath-ability of at-least 10,000. 20,000 would be even better for the Northwest because of how wet the snow is. However, if you are riding in a dry climate like Colorado you are fine buying snowboard pants with 5,000 waterproofing. Often times prices go up with an increase in waterproofing and breath-ability.
Step2
Good looking + comfortable = style and untouched powder fields How they fit: Knowing what look you are going for is your next step in buying snowboard pants. Pants come in all different looks. There are baggy pants, tight fitting pants, lose ones, and in-between. Follow the step one advice to help you narrow your search down, then think about your look. Try and imagine what your new pants will look like with all your other snowboard gear. Try to create a theme, i.e. a really basic theme, one that never goes out of style, all black.
Step3
Sessions Snowboard Pants, the black magic line. Other features: Pockets are cool. I like lots of pocket on my snowboard pants. Definitely make sure you get more pockets than just the typical four pockets. You will need to carry things like CANDY, keys, maybe a tuning tool, wax...pass/lift ticket. Some pants come with a pass holder, others come with big air vents that can open or close. More expensive snowboard pants come with waterproof zippers and taped seams, which is really good in wet snow.
Step4
Buying snowboard pants is really fun and exciting. Following the above advice should help you find the perfect pair. Reading a snowboard pants review is also recommended. Good Luck and Have Fun!
