How to Recognize Signs of Infidelity

If you suspect that your husband or wife is cheating on you, you'll start to second-guess everything he or she does. There are some clear ways to recognize signs of infidelity in your marriage.

1. Check the time your spouse spends away from the home. Call him randomly at work. Don't make a pest of yourself, but find a reason to call so you can check to make sure they are where he is supposed to be. A job that requires your spouse to travel or work long hours can lead you to be suspicious about infidelity.
2. Note your spouse's grooming habits. A cheating spouse is likely to be taking good care of herself. She will be trying to impress people by dressing nicely, shaving more or smelling good.
3. Ask your spouse about their friends and who they're talking to. If he or she suddenly starts hanging out with people and you aren't invited, it could be a sign of infidelity.
4. Ask about how your spouse spends his money. If he goes through a lot of money and can't explain where it has been going, there is reason to believe he may be spending it on someone else. If you have reason to believe there is infidelity in your marriage you can check credit card records and receipts to see the latest purchases.
