Need a quick and easy candy recipe that will stand out at a party? Church window candy combines ingredients you already have at home to make adorable, colorful confections!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 12 oz. package chocolate chips
  • Stick of butter or margarine
  • 12 oz. bag colored miniature marshmallows
  • Cookie sheet
  • Aluminum foil
  • Plastic wrap
  • Saucepan

    How to Make Church Window Candy

  1. Step 1

    Gently melt one stick of butter in a saucepan over low heat.

  2. Step 2

    Add chocolate chips, stirring until melted.

  3. Step 3

    Remove pan from heat and cool slightly.

  4. Step 4

    While chocolate mixture is still melted, but not hot, stir in marshmallows.

  5. Step 5

    Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil.

  6. Step 6

    Place plastic wrap on top of aluminum foil.

  7. Step 7

    Spread chocolate marshmallow mixture onto the center of the plastic wrap.

  8. Step 8

    Wrap the candy mixture with the plastic wrap and foil, making a log shape.

  9. Step 9

    Place the wrapped candy log on the cookie sheet into the refrigerator. Chill thoroughly.

  10. Step 10

    Remove candy from refrigerator. Unwrap and slice thinly. The slices look like stained glass!

Tips & Warnings
  • The recipe is fun to make with kids.
  • If the chocolate mixture is too hot when you add the marshmallows, they will melt.
