Things You'll Need:
- Dress or Business Suit
- Shoes - heels
- Small earrings
- Chair
-
Step 1
The interview outfit should be a classic business style, preferably with a skirt above the knee and not too elaborate. Loud colored business suits with sequins, rhinestones and beading are discouraged. The color and style should compliment you and be pleasing to the eye.
-
Step 2
Choose a style appropriate for your age and division. If you are a teen avoid too glamorous or cocktail style outfits. By the same token, avoid too much of a career look if you are a Miss. Remember you are interviewing to be a Beauty Pageant Queen and not for a secretary position.
-
Step 3
The best fabrics are silk and polyester. Choose a silk that has a 10 percent cotton or linen blend. This combination will keep it from wrinkling. Avoid 100 percent silk outfits, since they wrinkle too easily. Also, good polyester can look and feel like silk, travel well and not wrinkle.
-
Step 4
Skin toned shoes or TaupeThe shoes for your outfit can be clear, skin tone or the same color as the bottom of your outfit. Choose a classic pump. The height of the heel should be at least 2 inches. Make sure your shoes have no scuffs or run-down heels.
-
Step 5
Jewelry should be a pair of smaller earrings. Other jewelry is not necessary and may only be a distraction. Hats, gloves and carrying purses in to the interview room are strongly discouraged.
-
Step 6
Once you have your outfit complete do a sit test. While wearing your outfit sit down as you would for the actual interview. Take notice of big bulges that may form at the waist while you sit. You don’t need the distraction of needing to adjust uncomfortable clothing.
