Ever feel like you are having "one of those days" and you just need to snap out of it? Here are some ways to feel better, or to separate yourself from a not so happy place in just a few minutes.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Yourself
  • Willingness to change mood/try
  • Ability to smile
  1. Step 1

    Let's make a gradual transition for a real change. Start by sitting with both feet grounded, on the floor.

  2. Step 2

    Place your palms on your thighs and sit up straight, but comfortable.

  3. Step 3

    Close your eyes as you take a deep inhale, and exhale out...

  4. Step 4

    Just as you open your eyes again and your mind is shifting from a dark screen, smirk.

  5. Step 5

    Grow that smirk into a closed mouth smile

  6. Step 6

    Extend your smile further then as you reach the limits of space, open your mouth for a wider smile

  7. Step 7

    Continue for a wider and more open smile

  8. Step 8

    Look up at something, and add a single laugh.

  9. Step 9

    Feel better.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to separate yourself from others, or be able to drown out external noise with your own concentration
  • Read all steps then try this
  • Remember to gradually smile then make smile wider, then open, then laugh. Do not complete too fast or there may be little results.
