How to Make Your Child Angry

The Bible says that children should obey their parents, but it also says that parents should not discourage their children by leading them to wrath. The following are ways that parents can, unknowingly, make their children not want to obey.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Ignore your child. All children need a certain amount of attention to give them confidence and validate them as human beings. Too much attention can also a bad thing, so it should be given according to the needs of your child.
Step2
Pick at them. Fun-poking and humiliation can be harmful to a child's confidence. Try to keep your playfulness in check when it comes to picking at your child's unique characteristics.
Step3
Constantly say "no" to your child's requests. Weigh your battles carefully and with love. Not all of them are worth fighting.
Step4
Never give your child freedom or down time. If a child's schedule is constantly planned, with no time just to play or be alone with his thoughts, he will lose the spirit that makes him a kid.
Step5
Dismiss the projects that your child works hard on, like crafts from school or homework. To your child, school is like a job, and the things he creates there are precious to him. Show appreciation for your child's work.
Step6
Never allow your child to help make decisions. To raise a confident child, you must make him feel like his opinion is important. While you are still the parent, and your decision should be final, you have at least listened and taken his thoughts into consideration.
Step7
Give punishments that are too harsh for the crime. Make your discipline match the seriousness of the disobedience, or your child will feel that your are unnecessarily unfair.
Step8
Pray for guidance and read Bible scriptures on good parenting. See Proverbs for help.
