How to Save Music on an Audio CD

Now that you have your music downloaded on your computer, you want to make a CD you can play on the stereo. These easy steps can help you to do just that.

Things You'll Need:

  • Recordable CD
  1. Step 1

    Place an empty CD in the CD recorder/player on your computer.

  2. Step 2

    Open Windows Media Click on "Show classic menu" on the righthand side of the main window.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the "File" menu, then chose "Open." Navigate to the folder where your music is stored. Here you can chose to make a playlist, or just drag your songs into the far right pane of the main Windows Media Player.

  4. Step 4

    Once you have all the songs in your playlist, or dragged to the far right window pane, click on the "Burn" feature. The songs will now be converted to the WMA or MP3 format. These formats are recognized by home audio CD players and DVD players.
