Step 1
Go to an afternoon game. Nothing is worse than going to a Major League Baseball game in the evening and then having to leave that game early because your kids are tired or the game goes into extra innings and you don’t want your kids to stay up late. Avoid these problems by taking your kids to an afternoon game.
-
Step 2
Get to the ballpark early. This way you can walk around the ballpark before the game starts.
-
Step 3
Buy seats in a section of the ballpark that does not serve alcohol. Normally, these sections are full of families just like yours. Sitting in this section of the ballpark will lessen the chance that your kids will hear any vulgar language.
-
Step 4
Depending on their age, teach your kids how to keep score. This is a great way to keep your kids interested in the game.
-
Step 5
Buy your kids the food and drink specials that are specifically for children. Practically every ballpark has a special menu that is for kids. Certain ballparks with have a “value meal” such as a hotdog, chips and a drink for a low price. This is a great way to save money.

Step 6
Buy your kids a cheap souvenir. Many ballparks will sell a baseball children’s book, for example. Most of these souvenirs cost less than ten dollars and it’s a great way for your kids to remember their day at the ballpark.
