Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- Your sanity
- High tolerance for insults
- Sense of humor
- Patience
Step1
Be grateful the bumpers airing before and after shows aren’t making fun of you. If you agree with the poor soul who’s just been mocked on national television because he had the gall to find fault in Adult Swim, take solace in the fact that somebody out there agrees with you. If you passionately disagree with that viewer, you can be amused with the bumpers. You’re probably already laughing.
Step2
If you’ve been insulted on national television because you had the gall to find fault in Adult Swim, know that there are other viewers just like you who agree with your position. You’ve also become somewhat of an Adult Swim icon. Many fans would love to have Adult Swim respond to them on national television. You can brag about it on the official Adult Swim message boards.
Step3
Log on to an Adult Swim message board to vent your frustrations about that night’s programming. You can do this on the official Adult Swim message boards but certain fans there will stick up for anything the network does. You want to express your outrage with likeminded fans. There are several fan-run message boards focused on the Adult Swim network and its shows. Logging on to a message board is especially helpful if the network’s schedule changes without warning and you need to know where to find your shows.
Step4
Anime fans, remember that Adult Swim does support anime even though the bumpers taunt you and claim no one’s interested in the anime block.
Step5
If you can’t stand the comedy block, don’t watch it. If you hate anime, don’t watch the anime block. If you like both, know that it’s perfectly natural even though the fan wars on the official message boards suggest otherwise.
Step6
When you’re absolutely fed up and tell yourself you’re swearing off Adult Swim forever, remember that the network is one of the very few places you can find this kind of programming for adults. Yes, Adult Swim’s powers that be can be obnoxious and puerile at times, but they know what you like. Ultimately, they want to give it to you.

on 11/26/2007 Here in Boston we had the great "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" incident where a couple of dudes placed light up character signs around the city and our officials thought they were bombs! Check out my assessment of the "Futurama" Christmas special in my Guide of Offbeat Christmas Specials.
