High protein granola gives your metabolism a boost first thing in the morning, or late in the day as a snack. It also provides you with a good source of quality fiber, which is important to keeping a healthy heart and colon. This high protein granola is not only good for you, its also tasty and satisfying.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A cookie sheet
  • A large bowl
  • 3 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup dried fruit (raisins, cherries, prunes, apricots, etc.)
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • Non-stick spray

    How to Make High Protein Granola

  1. Step 1

    Mix the oatmeal, dried fruit and cinnamon in the large bowl until it is well mixed.

  2. Step 2

    Add the peanut butter and the corn syrup.

  3. Step 3

    Mix the peanut butter and the corn syrup into the mixture. You may have to use your hands to get it well blended.

  4. Step 4

    Spray the cookie sheet with the non-stick spray.

  5. Step 5

    Spread the granola out on the cookie sheet.

  6. Step 6

    Bake at 300 degrees F until almost dry.

  7. Step 7

    Set out to cool.

  8. Step 8

    Place in an airtight container.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you like chunky granola, put the granola onto the cookie sheet in clumps. If you like a more cereal-like granola, crumble the mixture with your hands as you put it on the sheet.
  • You can use crunchy peanut butter for a nutty taste, or add the nut of your choice for even more protein and fiber.
  • Do not put the finished granola in a container until it is fully cooled or else it with not get crunchy.
