How to take on a 16 year old Ghetto Bully

I grew un in a tense, impoverished ghetto in the dusty flats of eastern N.Mex. where survival was pretty much everything: from leaving your front door to walk to school, to getting there alive, playing in the school ground, to getting home safely. Usually, walking to and from home meant interlocking my arm with my older brother, George, so that we could take on our assailants together. By the way, George was not much taller or bigger than I. Mother and Dad never knew, we didn't dare tell, simply because we knew we could not move from there to a safer place. I do have to say that although our poverty and surroundings were dismal, we lived happily in the knowledge that we had a vacation place called, "school", where we felt protected and where we could learn and play. One thing that I learned was that it was incumbent upon me, self-imposed, as noone taught me to do this, to gain skill at throwing rocks and clods made of hardened adobe chunks, and running like a scared rabbit to hide from giant, 6 foot, 16 year olds who loved kicking us 5 year olds around like a football. In order to avoid being beaten up daily I practiced 1-2 hours a day in a secluded spot, preferably where I could find an adobe wall, painted a bulls-eye and tossed at blinding speed multiple rocks and clods into the ring on the wall. One afternoon when I had sufficiently warmed up this big guy, Valdez, rolls up his tire(we did not have toys, we rolled tires with our hands until our hands were blackened just to have a toy, and plops his big body on his tire, his head dead center in my bulls-eye which I had drawn and into which I hurled multiple stones or clods, I could not miss. Then he says with a despicable sneer: "Hit me right here, punk" as he points to his forehead right between the eyes. I promptly did. The stone that I tossed buried itself into exactly the spot where he had pointed right as soon as he had removed it. Incredulously, stunned as he was, he slowly begins to lunge for my little body. By then I had begun my speed-merchant dash to safety. Surprisingly, but calculatingly, I ran like a bunny to a large truck, slid underneath it like sliding into third base, grabbed the framed and kipped my skinny little body up and hid away. Valdez ran past me like a wounded(which he was)buffalo, out into the street, took a left into the ghetto and never caught me. It was incumbent on me to never show my little face ever at that spot nor anywhere else where I knew he hung out in order for me to survive, at least not until I got a lot older.I noticed that the assaults committed by this giant immediately stopped: no more little kids with black eyes or bruised ribs, more kids in the streets playing to their heart's content, noone's bike stolen, and a bunch of little guys and gals who had more confidence in themselves after they found out that I had brought down the giant.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Acknowledge that bullies may not only live in the ghetto, but perhaps everywhere and what to do about it if you are 5 years old up against a giant,6 foot, 16 year old who made it a regular practice to beat up children.
Step2
Courage is a major factor: you need not be in a ghetto to find courage, but it is many times bourne out of an intrinsic need to survive at all costs.
Step3
Develop your skills sets: in my caae I knew I had to practice my throwing skills, but it was incumbent on me to run like a speed-merchant and to know where to hide.
