IT professionals are constantly faced with the task of updating their skills. Often it’s a challenge to predict what skill sets will be in demand. The Adobe products are consistently in demand at many companies. Certification as an Adobe expert can place a potential applicant to the head of the line when new positions become available in the workplace. Becoming an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) is a fairly simple process.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Decide on the level of certification that fits the goals of the potential expert. Adobe offers three levels of certification. They range from expertise with one product, one medium, or an entire suite of Adobe products. The titles are single product, specialist and master certification. The potential expert must assess her own skills and desires with Adobe products and pursue the appropriate certification.
Step2
Get some training. Casual users of any particular application will want to make sure that they attain in depth knowledge on the Adobe product or suite of products for certification. One of the better ways to do this is by accessing the Adobe partner finder at adobe.com.
Step3
Prepare for the exam. After getting some initial training and gaining a comfortable level with expertise in a specific area, get more information. Do this by reading product user guides, Adobe press books and tutorials. The Dummies line of books also provides good resources for tips on Adobe products.
Step4
Register for the exam. There are a couple of ways to register. Go to the website for Pearson VUE or Thomson Prometric and look for ACE test dates. This may also be done by phone or in person at one of these facilities.
