How to re-pot a plant

When your plant is too large it needs to be re-potted into a larger pot.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• plantpot
• soil
• pebbles

1. Get yourself some good soil from a garden centre

2. Put some small pebbles into the bottom of the pot for drainage

3. Add some soil to the put, about a fifth of the bottom should be covered

4. Squeeze the original plant pot and gently ease the plant out of it

5. Put the plant into the new plantpot and add soil until it is packed firmly

6. 

   Thoroughly water the plant and leave to drain.

7. Re-pot again one to two years later when the plant has grown too large for its pot.

Tips & Warnings

• For better drainage, use a plant pot with holes in the bottom
