Snowboarding with music is fun. Jibbing to your favorite music often times can be inspirational. However, if you don't know how to listen to music while snowboarding it can be dangerous for you and others around you. Here are some tips on how to snowboard with music.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1
Ipod's work great, but are they the best for you???

You first need a mp3 player to listen to your snowboard music with. Try and pick one that fits you needs. For example, you might not need one that plays videos or maybe you only need an mp3 player that holds up to 50 songs. It is all up to you but think about things like how heavy are they, will they fit nicely into your pockets, and how well will they take a wipe out.

  2. Step 2
    Skullcandy headphones are cool.

Next you are going to need some headphones. You have some options when choosing your headphones. Giro helmets makes ear pads with speakers built into them. They work great because they hook up to your mp3 player and your cell phone, plus it has a little mic so you can talk on the phone will riding. Other options for headphones are traditional wrap over the head style and ear bud headphones. Ear buds work great when riding with friends because you can leave one in and take the other out. This way you can hear everybody(more on the importance of hearing below). Skullcandy is a snowboarding headphone company. They make really cool headphones, both ear bud and traditional style.

  3. Step 3
Giro helmet with ear pad speakers that connect to mp3 player and cell phone.

Snowboarding with headphones takes a certain amount of responsibility. When snowboarding you need to be always aware of your surroundings. You don't want to turn blind side right into someone and you definitely don't want to to run into a cat machine. When listening to snowboard music make sure to keep the volume level down so you can still hear everything that is going on around you. If riding with friends they will appreciate it also. If the music is too loud you might not be able to hear that out of control skier coming from behind.

  4. Step 4

Snowboarding with music is a pleasure. Don't ruin the experience by being irresponsible. Keep the snowboard music down enough so you can hear all things around you. Good Luck and have fun!!

Tips & Warnings
  • Turn the volume of your music down more once you get to the lifts and don't turn it back up until you get back to the top and are ready to drop your line.
