Things You'll Need:
- Clear Vision of What You Want
- Journal
- Stick-to-it-niveness
-
Step 1
Write down a list of your goals and keep it where you can see it.
-
Step 2
Break big goals into smaller ones. Concentrate on achieving the small tasks one at a time. Together, they will contribute towards your larger goals.
-
Step 3
Make a timeline. Work on the short term goals first before moving on to the long term goals.
-
Step 4
Use post-it notes. Write your short term goals on them and post them around your home or office. Include a short description of the positives of achieving your goals and the negatives of not achieving them. It will help to keep you going.
-
Step 5
Keep your list of goals current. Don't just make one list and stop when you're through it. Find new goals to add to your list. You'll find that the more you achieve, the more you will want to achieve!
-
Step 6
Enlist the help of others. Friends can keep you motivated by offering support and encouragement. If necessary, find a life coach. Most of the time, though, a friendly ear is enough. You can also team up if you are working towards the same goals.
-
Step 7
Savor the moment. Nothing beats the feeling of achieving a goal that you have worked hard for. Stop and savor it before moving on to the next goal. You might also wish to give yourself a small treat.
