How to Distract a Free Throw Shooter

Your team is up by 2 points with no time left the clock. But your opponent was fouled and has 2 free throws to tie the game and send it to overtime. What do you do?

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

1. Stand in the free throw shooter's face until the referee pulls you away and/or threatens you with a technical foul.

2. Call a time out after the free throw shooter makes the first shot.

3. Count out loud to 10 as he's preparing for his shot.

4. Give the free throw shooter a high five and say "Nice shot" after they make the first free throw.

5. Challenge the free throw shooter to make it with their other hand.

6. Scream, "Brick!" as the free throw shooter is releasing the ball.

7. Perform the YMCA hand movements as the free throw shooter is lining up their shot.

Tips & Warnings

• If the game goes to overtime, some of these antics will likely cause you to be on the wrong end of a flagrant foul.
• Expect similar treatment next time you shoot a free throw.
