Things You'll Need:
- ¾ cup Butter (softened)
- 3 Eggs
- 1 1/3 Cup Sugar
- 2 cups mashed Bananas (about 6 bananas in all)
- 2 ½ cups Flour
- ½ cup Shaklee Instant Protein Soy Mix
- 4 teaspoons Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt

Step 1
Preheat your oven @ 350 F.

Step 2
Combine butter, sugar, eggs and bananas. Mix well,

Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add nuts at this time, if you would like.

Step 4
Bake in 2 greased loaf pans for 1 hour @ 350 F. Check to make sure they are done in the middle before removing from the oven.

on 8/9/2008 I recently made this bread, but tweaked a couple things, and it was healthy & delicious! I used about a 1/3 a cup of olive oil, instead of butter and a combination of 1/4 cup of brown sugar & 1/4 cup of Splenda, instead of 1-1/3 cups of sugar. I also substituted wheat flour instead of white, and I added cinnamon. I used 5 bananas and 1/2 cup of heart-healthy chopped walnuts. I don't think 3 whole eggs is bad. You're splitting them between 2 loaves of bread, which you will slice into at least 10 slices. The amount of egg you will get is negligible. (Eggs get an undeserved bad rap anyway. As long as you don't eat them in excessive amounts and your doctor hasn't told you to watch your cholesterol, they are good for you.) I loved that the ingredients include a 1/2 a cup of protein powder. With me being vegetarian, it's a sneaky way to get a smidgen more protein. I might even try a

on 6/10/2008 This is NOT healthy. It may taste good, but any time you use 3/4 cup BUTTER, 3 WHOLE eggs (instead of egg whites), 2 1/2 cups WHITE flour instead of whole wheat flour and more than a cup of REGULAR sugar...
Try re-labeling it High Fat and Sugar Banana Bread with some Protein Powder Added.
