Box.net provides online storage for your files. But you can do more than merely store files there-you can use several integrated services to collaborate on files, edit online, sign documents, preview CAD designs, edit images and send content to Twitter, among other things.

      Register at box.net (see Resources for link). There are registration levels for individuals, businesses and enterprise. Each type of account has different services, storage limits, and bandwidth limits.

      You get 1 Gigabyte of secure storage free using the "Lite" plan. If you need more than that you pay a monthly fee. The free account includes a file size limit of 10Mb and a bandwidth per month limit of 10Gb.

      Upload your files to the secure space at Box. To share large documents, photos, videos, zip files or other documents with others, you just send them a link to the file.

      Open Box gives you many options about what to do with your stored files

      Thanks to the new Open Box service at box.net, you can do much more than just store files. For example, you can use Box to post photos, music clips, and files directly to your blog.

      Box partners with Zoho to permit online editing

      Box is integrated with Zoho to allow online document editing. Online Word document or Excel spreadsheet editing is possible. Just right-click on a document, select "Edit Document" from the menu, and you're ready to work.

      Box partners with eFax to permit faxing documents

      You can fax any document stored at Box to any fax machine using integrated eFax services.

      Box partners with Picnik for online photo editing

      You can edit your photos online using Picnik, and then post them to your blog or send them to someone with Twitter. As you can guess, Box is also integrated with Twitter.

      By the end of 2007, Box will integrate even more services, including Autodesk, EchoSign, Myxer, Scribd, Zazzle, and Thinkfree. When all these services are available, it will be easy to find and use them using the "Open Box Services" link at the top of the Box interface.
