Head Bang
Head Bang

The tradition of head banging began in the 1970s. It has been passed down from metal head to metal head since then and it is a most excellent means of paying tribute to a band.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Rocking music
  • Decent sound system
  1. Step 1

Place your rocking music into the decent sound system and push play.

  2. Step 2

Place one foot in front of the other. Head banging can be very disorienting and it is important to keep your balance. Lean forward so that your center of balance is above your forward knee.

  3. Step 3

Begin nodding your head to the beat of the music. When the guitars kick in look up at the ceiling.

  4. Step 4

Quickly move your head downward until your chin comes in contact with your breastbone.

  5. Step 5

Snap your head back so that you are looking forward. Do not move your head all the way back as it slows the rhythm of the head banging.

  6. Step 6

Repeat steps 5 and 6 until the music ends.

Tips & Warnings
  • Stretch your neck afterwards or you will regret it the next day.
  • Be careful doing this at concerts so you don't collide your head with someone around you.

on 5/14/2008 good call cheeop, you have obviously done this before. Unfortunately there doesn' seem to be a way to edit the article at this late stage.

on 5/14/2008 Shouldn't step 6 say to repeat steps 4 and 5, not repeat steps 5 and 6?
