Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Town of Stull

A highlight to your trip around Kansas has got to be Stull cemetery in rural Kansas (near Lawrence). Known as one of the 7 gateways to hell, this private cemetery held a church that at one time boasted a stairway into hell itself. Mysteriously enough, the church was demolished overnight and this private property now looks like a very unassuming place. The hair on your arms might still stand up, so give it a respectful look from the roadside access.

  2. Step 2

Lawrence, Kansas, has a terrific little historic downtown shopping area, but it also holds some appeal to ghost hunters. Haskell Indian Nations University has a few spooky spirits that will taunt you in the auditorium and the cries of children will welcome you in their small cemetery.

  3. Step 3

Wichita won't be outdone. Stop in at the Broadview Hotel in Old Town for some complimentary room rearranging, or for an outdoor trek check out Theorosa's Bridge near Valley Center. Apparitions and the sounds of cries in the night will make this a worthwhile adventure.

  4. Step 4

Fort Leavenworth will have you calling for the MP's. The National cemetery may have a few veterans waiting to greet you, and it is said at night you can hear unearthly sounds that may be attributed to some of the executed prisoners from the Leavenworth barracks.
