Step 1
If your skin is prone to getting red and irritated then you may have sensitive skin. There is a way to strengthen your skin so that you can have more radiant skin days. The first thing you will want to do is to stop using all your current products. By testing out your products and bringing them back into your regime slowly you will be able to make sure they are right for your face. You may be sensitive due to allergies in the environment or allergies in what is going directly on your skin.

The first day that you go off of your beauty regime you will just wash your face with your facial cleanser. How does it feel when you are done? If your skin feels tight, itchy or oily when you are finished washing then your cleanser is wrong. You want to wash your face to feel clean.

Step 3
During the first day of being off products watch and see how your skin reacts. Half way through the day and at the end of the day take notice of what your skin looks like. A day without moisturizer will help determine your skin type and determine if the moisturizer you are using is right for you.

Step 4
The second day of the beauty regime remodel wash with your cleanser and then apply an appropriate moisturizer. You should have a moisturizer that is right for your skin type. If you can find a moisturizer with sun screen then that will help to strengthen sensitive skin as you will be protected from harmful rays and free radical damage. Ten minutes in the sun can cause skin damage which can result in deterioration of the skin, lines, wrinkles or cancer.

Now that you have a good wash and moisturizer you want to focus on strengthening sensitive skin with a good antioxidant. Antioxidants help build up cells and make them less prone to irritation and damage. Many companies now make serums that you can apply before you add your moisturizer. A good serum will sink below the surface of your skin helping to strengthen the cells and helping your moisturizer to penetrate deeper. A good antioxidant could be Vitamins K, C or E or white tea, pomegranate or blueberry.

Step 6
For the next 28 days focus on just using your wash, serum and moisturizer. It takes about 28 days for the skin to recyle itself and for you to see visual results with the products you have chosen. You should see more radiant, stronger skin. You can now begin to use masks and exfoliators once a week to deep clean.
