Falling can cause a minor injury. Falling incorrectly can make it worse. If you are slipping and it becomes obvious that you are going to fall down. Falling down correctly may keep you from hurting yourself worse.
If you are going to fall into an area which contains a hazard that may cause a serious injury such as rocks, glass, or a busy street. Try to propel your body away from the hazard.

If there are no hazards present, relax and do not fight the fall.

Avoid landing on your hands. This can cause injury to your shoulders, elbows and wrists.

Roll or do a slight turn while tucking your arms. This will help you land on your side rather than your front or back.
Step5
Draw your limbs in close to your body. Bend your arms at the elbow to protect your face.
