How to Cook Spicy Sour Chicken

Spicy sour chicken is a delicious Asian treat. It's very simple to prepare and won't take long. Here are the instructions.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 5 small red onions
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 3 slices of ginger
  • 2 pieces of tamarind
  • Salt to taste
  1. Step 1

    Cut the chicken into 12 pieces.

  2. Step 2

    Slice the onions and garlic.

  3. Step 3

    Put into a blender the onions, garlic and ginger. Blend into a uniform paste.

  4. Step 4

    Put the chicken into a pot and fill with water. Bring the water to a boil.

  5. Step 5

    Pour in the paste and the tamarind pieces and lower the flame to a simmer. Let cook until the chicken is tender. This should not take more than 20 minutes.

  6. Step 6

    Serve in a bowl as a soup.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add some chili stalks for a spicier taste.
