Fantasy sports have become extremely popular, and surfing fans can participate by setting up their own league. It's an easy way to follow the different surfing contests that take place during the year.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Team managers
  1. Step 1

Select some friends that follow the sport of surfing to participate in the league with you. Oftentimes, surfing contests aren't held every week so you'll want team managers that are dedicated to following the sport.

  2. Step 2

Choose a commissioner of the fantasy surfer league to make sure that everything is set up correctly and that all participants understand the rules.

  3. Step 3

Decide which type of surfing contests you will be using to select surfers from. Choosing one of the professional tours is probably the easiest because they have a large number of surfers, and operate on a steady schedule.

  4. Step 4

Determine what type of scoring you will use for your fantasy surfing league. Assigning points for where the surfer finishes in each contest is probably the easiest way to score it, and there are resources on the Internet that provide fantasy surfing leagues that do that.

Tips & Warnings
  • Using surfers from the professional tours is the easiest, but you might want to use amateur surfers as well if surfing is popular where you live.
  • Be sure to invite friends who are committed to following the surfing contests throughout the year.
  • Check for any websites that operate fantasy surfing leagues, since that will make scoring much easier.
