How to write 50,000 words in one month.

November is National Novel Writing Month aka NaNoWriMo (http://nanowrimo.org). Within, November people from all over the world join to attempt (and succeed) at writing 50,000 words or more of a novel, manuscript, poetry or whatever! The community for this event is supportive and encourages you the writer to give it your best shot! But, not only that the sense of accomplishment in the company of many, encourages many an aspiring to continue throughout the year to their respective goals.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer/Internet connection
  • The courage and discipline to write.
  • The will to write the story or stories within you.
  • The need to dispel with the critical voice within you.

Step1
Go to nanowrimo.org and enlist. It does not matter what writing skill level you are at!
Step2
Write as you please yet keep a word count. The word count allows you to see your progress.
Step3
Add your word count to your profile daily, weekly or hourly.
Step4
Join and utilize the numerous and various forums and support groups on the NaNoWriMo site.
Step5
Celebrate at the end of November! Celebrate whether you accomplished 50,000 words, or 2,000 because you became committed to first your writing and a supportive writing community!

  • Enter your word count and see your progress.
  • Join in the forums to help you hone your writing skills.
