The job market is always competitive. One way to be unique in the workplace is to attain a certification. In the software industry, Adobe is one of the logical certification to have. With the variety of products and millions of users worldwide, it makes sense that knowledge of Adobe products is attractive to employers. Becoming an Adobe Certified Instructor opens the door to careers in education and the corporate world.

Step1
Use Adobe products. Read user guides and participate in online training as well as training offered at Adobe Authorized Training Centers. Become familiar with the product in any way possible. This is the first step on the road to certification.
Step2
Complete the Adobe Certified Instructor application and sign the Adobe Certified Instructor agreement. Submit these items to Adobe.
Step3
Decide on which level of certification is desired. ACI has three levels of certification. Single product certification is offered for proficiency in one Adobe product such as In Design. Specialist certification is offered for knowledge of Adobe products in a specific medium. Knowledge of Adobe’s video applications, for example, would mean that the ACI is an expert in all these video as it relates to Adobe. Master certification is offered when there is knowledge of an entire suite of products. This certifications requires knowledge of several applications in multiple mediums.
Step4
Take an Adobe Certified Expert exam. Access adobe.com to find centers where tests are offered.
Step5
Be certified to teach. This means having a government issued teaching certificate or CompTIA CTT+ certification. This is the component that separates the Adobe Certified Experts from Adobe Certified Instructors. Following these steps will ensure certification.
