If you are running late for a potluck and you have nothing to bring, don't just grab a bag of chips. Instead, cook up this quick and easy pasta salad.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pasta
  • Canned tuna or chicken
  • Canned olives (sliced)
  • Italian dressing
  • Cooking implements (pots, bowls, spoons)
  1. Step 1

Cook about eight oz. of pasta (serves six). This can be any kind of pasta, but the more decorative, the better. Spaghetti does not work well.

  2. Step 2

Drain the pasta when it is cooked thoroughly, and pour it into a bowl.

  3. Step 3

Mix in a can of tuna or chicken and a can of chopped olives to taste. You can season with salt and pepper if you wish.

  4. Step 4

Pour Italian dressing in to coat the salad, and toss it to make sure that the entire dish is well coated.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add or substitute ingredients to taste or to fit what you have on hand.
  • Refrigerate this dish when it is not being served!
  • Do not rush the cooking of the pasta - undercooked pasta will add unpleasant texture to the dish.

on 11/28/2007 Another great additive for this would be diced tomatoes. What a great idea with the chicken or tuna, I haven't tried that yet.
