If your family likes to vacation in a resort town for the summer then a summer job will be just what you need to keep from getting bored. A summer job will only employ you for the duration of the summer. Follow these steps to find summer jobs in a resort town.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Read the local newspaper. Some potential employers will post an ad for a summer job in their resort town. The ads will have information such as location and contact information for the summer jobs.

  2. Step 2

Contact the local chamber of commerce of a particular resort town. Here you will find a list of local businesses. You can then contact each one and ask if they're looking for summer help. Tell them you're in the resort town only for the summer and are looking for work to keep you busy for the summer or to save for college.

  3. Step 3

Log on to online ad sites. Many websites such as Craigslist will have local employment information listed. You can narrow your search by resort town and type of work you are interested in.

  4. Step 4

Go to the resort town businesses. By making a physical appearance you can show the business owners how interested you actually are in getting a job for the summer. You may even be able to score an interview right then and there, so dress appropriately to make a good impression.

  5. Step 5

Ask some of the residents of the resort town where you can look for jobs. The people who live in the resort town year round can direct you to reputable businesses that may need summer employees.
