Feminism is an important concept that has advanced the social standing and cultural viewpoint concerning women throughout the world. Feminism encompasses the notion that women are equal to men and should be treated with respect, dignity and equal consideration. Young girls are especially susceptible to societal standards of gender norms. It is important for them to develop self-confidence to be strong girls that grow into strong women.

      Establish your own viewpoints about feminism. Write down some of the various personal feminist viewpoints you have before attempting to educate young girls about feminist beliefs.

      Teach the importance of empowerment to young girls; teach them about the importance of developing an identity independent of societal or male restrictions. Try to impart a sense of power and self respect in young girls.

      Teach the history of women's oppression in society. Use visual techniques like video and interactive activities that involve the girls in learning about the historical views toward women and their abilities.
