How to Be Born Again

Born Again Christians believe that being born again is a spiritual transformation, whereby eternal life is imparted to the soul and a personal relationship with God begins. Many Born Again Christians follow these steps to spiritual regeneration.

Instructions

1. Accept and believe that Jesus Christ was God in human flesh who lived on the earth, was crucified although he did no wrong, diedd, was buried, rose again and ascended to Heaven for the forgiveness of your sin.

2. Ask God to forgive you and to begin to guide your life from that point on.

3. Tell someone else that you believe. Tell your spouse, another family member or a friend or go forward in church to make a public declaration of your faith.

4. Get baptised. Talk to a pastor about a public baptismal service or schedule one with family and friends. This is a very important step as it makes your faith more real--you are publicly identifying yourself with Christ in a symbolic death, burial and resurrection.

5. Begin to live out your faith. Make it your goal to read your Bible at least 15 to 20 minutes a day. Pray to God like you are talking to a friend, and find a church to become a part of and attend regularly.

6. Reject sin. Nobody does this perfectly, but make it your aim not to sin, especially not willfully. Everyone commits sins of omission or makes errors in judgment, but when you do, confess it to God and ask forgiveness, make any amends needed and move on.

7. Enjoy your new life as a born again believer, your new brothers and sisters and your new Heavenly home.
