A baby pool is typically enjoyed by young children all summer long. At the end of its use when it sits for awhile, it may begin to collect mold. Since baby pools can be used over and over again, you'll want to take the necessary steps to remove the mold.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Empty out the pool. If it has any water left in it, then you should get rid of the old water immediately.
Step2
Take it over to the hose and give it a quick rinse. Before you begin tackling the mildew spots, rinse out the pool thoroughly. This gets rid of any dirt and debris that may be lingering on it.
Step3
Create a cleaning paste by combining baking soda and water. The consistency should be thick enough to allow you to scrub with it. Keep mixing the ingredients together until you are happy with the texture.
Step4
Get a damp sponge and begin applying the paste to the mildew spots. Use the sponge to scrub away until the mildew is lifted.
Step5
Rinse the pool out of again. After you rinse, check the spots again to see if they are gone. If not, you may need to repeat the process until they have been removed.
Step6
Let the baby pool dry until you use it again. The pool should be set in direct sunlight once you have finished cleaning it.

Tips & Warnings

  • You should put on gloves before tackling this cleaning project. It is always a good idea to wear gloves when dealing with mildew.
  • If the baby pool has a tendency to collect mildew, there are chemical treatments that may be used to treat the problems. Read package directions first to make sure that the product is safe for children.
