A squeegee is a cleaning tool that many people have as a part of their household supplies. It has a flat rubber surface that is used to control liquids. A squeegee does not cost a lot of money and can make many household chores much easier to tackle.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Place a window cleaning solution on your windows. A stream of Windex is typically used in conjunction with a squeegee. Spray the entire window before using the squeegee.

  2. Step 2

Slide the squeegee across the surface of the glass. The idea is to force the cleaning solution and dirt off of the glass. You should run over each section of the glass to completely clean the surface.

  3. Step 3

Tap the squeegee to remove excess water. To quickly and efficiently clean the windows, the squeegee should be tapped from time to time.

  4. Step 4

Clean up spills that occur with a squeegee. A squeegee can be used for more than just washing windows. If you spill a drink on the floor, a squeegee can clean up the mess. You need to have a floor squeegee blade for this job.

  5. Step 5

Wash the shower stall with a squeegee. Squeegees make quick work of cleaning the stall of your tub or shower.

Tips & Warnings
  • Many people use squeegees to avoid marks that are made by cleaning windows and other surfaces with paper towels. If done properly, the surface will be streak free.
  • Squeegees are also used in printing. Make sure that you purchase and use a squeegee that is meant for cleaning.
