Are you tired of getting complaints on your fashion sense concerning your jeans? Here are some very simple steps to finding the perfect fit of jeans. You'll receive nothing but compliments after this!
The first step to a great fit is knowing your exact measurements.
Step2
Using a measuring tape, measure around your waist where the top of your jeans would sit. For example, if you like them low, measure around the part of your waist where you would want them to sit. Write this number down on a piece of paper.
Step3
Next you should measure the rise. This is the distance between the closure of your jeans to the bottom of the crotch of the jeans. So you measure the length here and write this down under your waist measurement.
Step4
Now it is time for measuring the inseam. This is the distance from the crotch of the jeans to the bottom of the jean leg. Measure your own length and write this down under your rise measurement.
Step5
Now that you know your measurements it's time to find the perfect pair of jeans. There are many different types of jeans available today such as low rise, classic, straight, skinny, baggy and carpenter.
Step6
When you choose a style you like you will need to find the size according to your measurements. The size on the jeans will usually give you a waist size along with the length. The length you will compare to your inseam measurement.
Step7
You want to pick jeans that you can fit your thumb into the waistband. You will not know if they will shrink after their first wash and you want them to fit comfortably.
Step8
Try to get a pair of jeans that have the perfect length. The perfect length jeans are the ones that fall right to the bottom of the back of your shoe. This way they are not dragging the ground but are not too high showing your socks.
Step9
Be sure they fit comfortably in all areas. They should stay on your hips and accent whatever areas you choose to accent. This is the best fit for you!
Tips & Warnings
Remember all brands run in different sizes. Just because your waist measurement does not match the size tag on the jean does not mean they won't fit.
When in doubt, try them on! This is the best and most confirmative way to know if they do indeed fit perfectly.
