If you are looking for summer work and love the great outdoors, a temporary job position at a national park may be just the job you have been looking for. The following will show you how to find a summer job at a national park.

Instructions

    Searching the National Park Service Website

  1. Step 1

    Go to the National Park Service website to see what national parks are in your area. Click on the state you live in and make a list of the parks that come up.

  2. Step 2

    Click on the name of the national park. A page will come up with an information phone number for the park. Call the phone number to inquire about any summer jobs that may come available and what you need to do to apply.

  3. Step 3

    Do a search for the park you have chosen by making sure the "search this park" option is checked when searching after clicking on the name of the national park from the list.

  4. Step 4

    Type in "employment" and search. You will find temporary employment listings for the selected park, if there are any, as well as job applications you can print off the site.

  5. Searching the USAJOBS Website

  6. Step 1

    Go on the USAJOBS webite which is the official job website of the United States Federal Government and search for the national park you would like to work for. This will bring up any positions that you can apply for.

  7. Step 2

    Click on the job title that comes up to view a job description and requirements to see if you qualify.

  8. Step 3

    Click on "Apply Online" to apply or call the number at the bottom of the screen if you have any questions about the job.
