Choose a mounting technique. There are several different options when dry mounting photos. If you want to avoid any adhesives then you will want to use photo corners or photo tabs. These attach with an adhesive to the pages of the photo album and the edges of the pictures then fit into the tabs to hold it in place in the album. If you want to use adhesives there are also many options. There are tapes, pastes, and even a dry mount paper. The last uses heat to attach the photo permanently to the page of the album.

Create the layout of your photograph pages. One of the advantages of a dry mount album is that they give you many options in how you can organize your photos. There are no set areas for photos to be place so you can be very creative in your layout.

Attach the photos to the album pages. If you're using photo corners or tabs, it is best to carefully place the tabs on the edges of the picture you want to use and peel back the covering to expose the adhesive and press the corners to the page with the photo. This will ensure that you get the corners exactly where they need to be in order to hold the photo in place. If you're using a tape, make sure to use tape on all edges of the photograph so that it is firmly attached to the album and won't become damaged. For any paste or dry adhesive technique be sure to follow the instructions included with the product closely.
