3
If you are playing on a grass field check the condition of the field. You need to determine if the grass is thick or thin and how dry or wet the field is.
-
4
Change the cleats to longer one if the field has deep grass or is very wet and filled with mud. The longer the cleats you have the more traction you will have on these types of surfaces.
-
5
Use medium sized cleats if the field if not too dry but not very wet or muddy. Generally medium size cleats are the ones you should wear if the field is in an ordinary one in decent condition.
-
6
Change your cleats to thin ones if the field is very dry and the grass is very short. The thinner the cleats the less chance you have of them sticking in the turf, which can increase the chance of you becoming injured.
-
7
Change your cleats at halftime, or you can remove yourself from the game, if you are not getting enough traction or your cleats are sticking in the ground too much not giving you the mobility you need.
